The Dive Medical
Prior to diving, you will be asked to fill
out a Medical Questionnaire to find out whether you should be
examined by a doctor. The purpose of the questionnaire is determine
if any pre-existing conditions may affect your safety while diving.
Should you answer YES to any of the conditions
listed on the Medical Questionnaire, you will be issued with
a PADI / SSI Medical Statement to take to a physician for further
assessment.
Australian Medical Standards are different
to those overseas, and a medical obtained in another country
will most likely not be valid in Australia.
The Medical Questionnaire includes the
following questions, however answering YES to any question will
not necessarily disqualify you from diving, but will indicate
